MIT is a bewildering place, synonymous with seemingly impossible innovations.
Behind strokes of genius are human beings who had to confront their fears, overcome challenges, and ultimately find the courage to be themselves.
This podcast explores the diversity of the human experience. While episodes will feature the MIT community, the contemplation of our shared humanity will make them relatable to all.
And by hearing the stories of others, we just may find a piece of ourselves and be inspired to transcend our own limitations.
You may encounter a bit of MIT lingo. There’s a certain alluring elegance in its compact and quirky notation. If you’re new to it, you’ll catch on over time.
To my fellow alumni: I hope this podcast evokes the wonder of seeing the Great Dome for the very first time and the disbelief of walking Killian that last time for commencement.
And to the Registrar: Please consider this work an apology. My atonement for choosing a Course 14 concentration just so I could replace HASS term papers with calculus problem sets.
I’m Ravi Patil, MIT Class of ’93, SM ’95, Course 2, East Campus.
